What's the point of servicing the f*cker then? Just store it properly.

I really don't see the fuss A*H. They're a race bike that's completely useless unless your (very!)local twisties are fast, open and flowing. And if you'd ridden one you'd think "what a POS", as you admit you don't ride like a nutter with your arris on fire... which completely eliminates any point in owning one.

Yeah, it's kinda ironic, that Honda wanted to prove they could build a better race V-twin than Ducati, but it's road version is far more single minded than the Dukes of that era.

Must've seen 4 out on Sunday. 1 and 2's. Certainly turns heads and sound fantastic

Yep- fully aware of that. And how much gas they guzzle. But sooooo tempting.

For a litre twin, it'd either be that or an SV1000 and the SV's got a weenier tank...

What, no Aprilia on the option list?

Well- maybe a Falco, but I'd heard they're more focussed and less forgiving than the VTR/SV1000s and then there's Italian wiring. I ride in all weathers, see?! (I'm sure El Greco will pipe up soon...)

And I wasn't planning on going full sports, as the insurance would cost an arm and a leg more...

3 winters 21000 miles and no electrical issues, well had a battery go south but then that was probably 4 years old at the time... Though if you want to run heated gear id do a small wire mod to allow easier flow of voltage.

I test rode a couple of SV1000's and although they were ok I wouldn't go for one over the Sv650. Engine was lumpy below 4K rpm and the suspension (though probably set-up badly) felt pretty bad, lastly the brakes sucked hard! The 650 had better brakes

The Falco is more comfortable for me than the SV650 was. Very easy to ride and not unforgiving from my experience.

Guess best thing to do is test ride them

2x... My mate complains about his as well. I know they are supposed to be the same as the Gixxer, they just felt like they had no bite at all. Maybe the dealers liked to spray them with crap? Dunno...

It does in layman's terms

But ok ill rephrase. Wire mod to help reduce the resistance of the wiring allowing more power to be used...
