Bad luck Stu, I am glad you are alright. I echo your sentiment about not doing a stoppie when emergency braking, it makes you think that you haven't braked hard enough or something... . I just didn't want the front end to go down. Sounds like the car drivers fault to me, good luck with the insurance.

A lot of people will come out with that one, that you're braking hardest when the frear wheel leaves the ground... But it's rubbish, IMO, in the real world, because all it needs is a tiny patch of gravel or a spot of oil and suddenly your emergency stop is a crash- it's better to take slightly longer to stop safely than to stop fast and unsafely, because it's better to hit a car at 10mph on 2 wheels than slide into it at 30 with a bike on top of you. If that means only using 80% of your braking potential instead of 100%, then so be it, better to use 80% than 101%.

It's a write off! so if i can buy it back WooHoo!

So any advice? I don't want to appear too keen to get it back, or does that not matter to the value they'll put on it?
