Nail on head there!....and if you're asking the question then I think you already know the answer. Been in this situation myself recently Mon, and to be honest trying to rekindle something that was there in the past has never worked for me because of the nagging voice in the back of the head reminding you about the non too happy times, no matter how positive you are. I've learned that friends are more important that "being" with someone, because it's around your friends that you are accepted and can be yourself......people say that relationships are about compromise, fair enough, but only as long as you remember what makes you tick!

Mon, after 7yrs me and Jenny are going our seprate ways. Made even harder by the fact that we still love each other very much....but now its more like bro and sis than anything else.

Its not easy but its better than staying and being miserable....that just kills you slowly on the inside.

Been there, done that - twice. 9 & 7 years respectively, different fellas.
Hard at the time, true, but with hindsight the best break up you can get I s'pose - as you have a far better chance of keeping a very good friend.
