In the Curveys, that is one of the ways to restrict the bike. However, pointies have a restricted ECU inserted instead of the original one. Normally. There are one or two other ways.

That is the stance I would take if I was in your position. If they do change the ECU, make sure they give you the original one too.

Not necessarily mate, this is advice from some of the pointy restricted riders, say they get crap fuel economy, which is to be expected, your taking the guts out of a bike by stealing half its power...

I have my Curvy for 4/5weeks now and i was worried about the weight and power at first as I like you came from a featherweight 125 enduro style bike. The 1st things i noticed when i 1st got on it wasn't the weight it was the low bars and high pegs compared to my previous bike.

O and the speed.... not too much tho, only as much as you ask from it

Sounds like the non-ECU method that is rubbish - tell him to ring Suzuki and get them to quote for an ECU - although I think that may be £300........

Hmm, I remember somebody saying about the throttle itself been restricited before on a pointy but I don't know about them really. Could be the throttle bodies.
