ok, people feel free to go.....duhhh here!
There is nothing rational about the way we live. Take Mensa for instance, they actually go out to find those who can think out of the box, never mind the tests of intelligence.
For instance people who are so tuned into think so rational, we'll take an engineer as example, can only think of the physical, its the way his brain is tuned. They can only think 'in the box'. Those inferior arty types for example, can think out of the box, and many of them can see further than just the physical thing in front of them. These people are more likely to be able to see beyond what a rational thought is telling them.

How do we not know that we are the ghosts here?

Here I go back to meditation. Someone who practises meditation has heard the term astral plaining. Many of you not.
Astral plaining is something exceedingly difficult to achieve. Your very soul can be lifted by you out and into the world by you, where you take it, is up to you. However you need to keep yourself anchored. Or you can't come back.
How do we not know that those people who can acheive this are infact nearer to being in reality. After all, those ghosts who people claim to see are souls just the same as you and I....just free...apparently.
TBH this is a subject you can only talk about when face to face, I've had it very many times with loads of different people over the years.
Perhaps our business isn't with this life, perhaps our life isn't our business at all.

...and no, the blonde isn't a weirdo, or losing her marbles. Just a bit more open minded, than perhaps some are comfortable with.

#no drugs were consumed during this discussion# hehehehe

"Can only" implies a lack of ability, not a choice to accept a version of reality which ties in with your own logic and rationel.

I quite like to read about particle physics and other head bending stuff like that. I invite you to have a look. The truth can be stranger than fiction

Thanks Nic , there are other ways of thinking about the world, than what you can see in front of you .

Ophic, all the proof is there in front of you. Just normal average person me. Just think out of the box on occasions

I don't believe at all. Foxy does. She says our old place had ghosts and even had someone in to remove them. She thinks they came back as we were getting ready to move out. Don't think they jumped on the removal van as I didn't see them being unloaded when we got to the new house. So hopefully they are still at the old house.

I've voted for the not sure/maybe.

By nature I'm a prove it sort of person...+5v and 0v. However two experiences have made me almost believe there is something of which I'm .......
  1. I got on really well with one of my Grandma's. She was one of those unique people you only meet rarely as you go thro' life. One day, whilst at work, I got a really unsettling feeling for about 1/2 hour. And then it hit me right between the eyes that she'd died. Being very sceptical of this sort of thing I dismissed it and went for lunch. Just after tea, approx 7hrs later, I got a phone call from Dad to say Grandma had died. The timing of which conicided with the bolt between the eyes. Freaked me out good and proper!
  2. Working one evening, stainless steel control panel in front of me. I suddenly felt icy cold, hairs on the back of my neck stood up. And a dark shadow moved across the control panel as though someone had walked past and it was their reflection. No one there - scared the bejesus out of me.
I don't have an answer to either occurance, the 1st one pretty much convinces me of something. The 2nd one I'm less convinced of but there must have been something to freak me out like that right in the middle of concentrating on work.

I went for maybe. I'd like to think there's something after death, as I'm sure most of us do.

No matter how much I try I just can't get my head around the fact that we're born, do our **** and try to be successful etc and then there's just nothing. For me there HAS to be something.

I've had one experience of the supernatural. I was a kid (5), though so it could have just been my imagination.

My Grandma had recently died.

My and my mum had my moved my bed round so my head was under the window sill (don't know why).

Anyway, I went to bed as normal and late in the night was woken up by a knocking noise, like somebody knocking on a table.

I woke up to see the ghost/soul/spirit of my grandma run/float from my bedside table out my bedroom door (which was open) and through the external wall of the house.

Now, that may not seem so strange at first, but whenever I was with my Grandma, say at her house or at my parents, and she fell asleep I would always knock on a door/table or something similar to fool her into getting up and answering the door.

Payback, me thinks.
