I got it from the head of the Scottish motor traders assoc. I agree with the comments about the incidious way this is being introduced. Thin end of the wedge. But apathy will provail and the majority of those venting their spleens will not get around to contacting their MP about it.

Because civil liberties are erroded one tiny piece at a time, without you noticing and then suddenly you live in a different world.

It is worth writing to your MP sometimes, I copied my MP and local councillor on a complaint to the borough council, and just got refunded £60 quid court costs by the council after they raised a court summons on me for a settled bill. Even if the bill hadn't been settled it was only 2 months and a few days since I moved into the property and they had made no attempt to contact me other than a reminder letter which says "if you have paid this amount please ignore this letter".

Doesnt sound like its anything the polis need to know about as it will be enforced remotely by the big brother database."Offenders" will just get a bill through the post.

We'll still need to know though, although it will primarily be enforced by DVLA if it is being written into the RTA then we require to know.

Does it say anywhere, I had a quick read an couldn't see, what legislation this is going to be enforceable by?

If you have free tax on a classic vehicle, your hardly likely to sorn it and send tax back are you? its free, so no money to come back.

I often CBA to re-insure my bike on time if I'm not gonna be riding it. I don't however seek a refund on my tax, cus again...I CBA!

As far as I know, this isn't an offence, as I'm not riding the bike on the public highway, but now I will get stung as if I have committed an offence. Its an effin joke!
