Not this month Phil, although I'd already negotiated a bit off the list price.

Certain other priorities at the moment, but that won't stop me looking. If this one goes they'll have something similar soon...... Or if they've still got this one by the time I'm in a position to buy they might drop the price.......

Don't get spending your money on home climbing Walls then until after you've bought a new bike

Thats a long term pipe dream. This is before that on the list if I can justify writing off 6 months insurance to myself.... not sure I can.

I need to try and control this problem of my eyes being too big for my wallet...

I wld of got a 750 if I could of found one I likes and if the insurance had been better but the 600 is still insanely fast you don't have to rev it to much if your in the right gear.

I was just joking mate, the 600 still has more than enough power for roads in this country. As for the revving thing, its just a slightly different style of riding.

Can you cancel an insurance policy part way through the year? Or is is like a phone contract where you've signed up for a certain amount of time and you're stuck with it?

Nope, you can cancel half way through, although when I cancelled my policy 5 months into it, because of "admin" fees I got the grand sum of £1 back from a £200 policy.

IT's worse than a contract mate it's a bit like bailing from a credit agreement I think. It's definitely bad if they cancel it because of lack of payment, your future premiums would go up etc
Some insurers will let you out amicably, some even if you've said up front and will pay you a refund from a scale in the ts and cs. Check your papers or ring them I guess, just don't get the hump with them if it's bad news and stop paying them
