Allen key bolt under engine? - SV650.org

Just wondering what the allen key bolt underneath the engine is. Bike seems to have a small oil leak from it, but I can't locate it in the manual - anyone know if its just a crankcase drain bolt or whether it holds anything together inside the engine before I undo it. (Bike is a 2000 model)

If you dont know what it does, dont undo it simple.
Wait for someone who can give you the BASAT advice.

If that's the bolt you're talking about then it's not holding anything but, if you undo it, be prepared to catch most of your engine oil.

As above - it's a cap covering where an internal drilling in the cases is made. It's not intended to be removed.

Thats the one.

Wouldn't normally remove it for an oil change, but its weeping oil so could do with resealing.
