Morning All
My curvy front fork lowers look awful, they weren't the best when I bought it but being an all year rider and 2 freezing winters and being pelted in grit and salt relentlessly for 2-3 months a year, they have seen better days. Question is is there an easy way of making them look nice again, maybe a rub down and spray an extra hard lacquer of some kind?? Cheers guys |

Polish & Laquer them, or, I painted mine black this time. The bike's hardly done any miles since, but they seem to have held out ok.

Same as Mr C
Or you could get them powder coated, but its prone to chipping and a sod to remove. The forks do polish up nicely, but you've got to keep on top of cleaning them to make sure they don't get really furred up in the winter

That is a fantastic looking Curvy! I think I'll go with paint, I would love to polish them but I just don't have the time to keep on top of it especially in the winter time. The black looks good I think.
Mr C what paint/lacquer did you use? |

I used an enamel paint because I knew it wouldn't be getting used much, but if you are using it all of the time I would look at something heavier duty

Something like this.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VHT-NU-CAS...item5199064035 No, I didn't lacquer. Like I say, I knew it was only going to come out on dry sunny days, which are very few & far between ![]() Yes I have sold it HoL, but had a problem with the MOT. The guy passed it as you see it in the pic, but this year he has told me I need a front sidelight. I need to work out how to mount one on the front ![]()
