Default Non starting Curvy.

hi everyone,i have a problem that i need help with if at all possible??? i have read through the older posts concerning electrical problems and though helpful still hav'nt resolved my problem?..so if someone out there could take two minutes to read and reply to try and help me it would be mightily appreciated..anyway here goes = i have an SV650S K2 from 2002 and up until now have had no problems with it..it started with taking my nephew for a spin around the block and(him being rather a hefty young lad )when i went over a speed bump the dash lights cut off.. no further ado but seat off and blown fuse!? the wiring alongside the rear seat unit had cut through and blown the fuse.i replaced the fuse after repairing the wire that had been cut..no problems until one evening pushing the starter button it does not do anything and after switching off and trying again she fires up and i ride her home.next morning i come out and this time nothing ,no click no sound,nothing...i have checked the fuses ,replaced the solenoid and the two main fuses next to it and new battery as the old one was drained for some reason which i can only suppose was it was being drained by a faulty solenoid??anyway i have also replaced the batterys in my key which opperates the meta systems alarm..problem now is the alarm is not coming back on and resetting????so the bikes still not starting .. the dash lights come on and the clocks and headlight etc but absolutely nothing on the button.??? any help for how to reset the key/alarm and for the starting itself would be appreciated.. thanks in advance..

First find out which Meta system alarm you have and either contact meta directly or find a manual online. Some alarms have an "anti spike" type feature that needs to be dealt with if they loose and gain power supply.

Once you're happy the alarm is working you can start looking at the starter circuit itself. This could be down to a dirty/corroded starter button, or a cut-out such as the clutch switch playing up and preventing the starter from engaging.

If you press the button and hear a click from the relay then the issue may be with the battery/starter, if no click at all it can be with the starter button & cut outs.

No worries. There's a lot of advice sometimes given that alarms are nothing but trouble, but a well installed one from a good manufacturer tends not to be a problem provided it is working correctly.
