Default Grease stuff to avoid water getting in front cylinder.....

What stuff is the correct stuff to buy? Went to Halfords yesterday all staff had no idea when I told them I was after silicone grease. The only stuff I found was some 3 in 1 white silicone grease in a spray can. Is this ok?

Also getting to that plug cap is a right pain in the **** if you have the fairing lowers!

I know this has been asked before but I would like to know a brand and where to get it from. I searched the net which returned a lot of stuff all different.

Ta very muchly,

Dan

Oh one other thing I phoned the dealer regarding this one cylinder problem who in turn phoned Suzuki who said they will get it looked at. Not sure what good they can do but I might get a free fenda extenda out of it. They also said "They were not aware their was a problem with the SV and rain". So why did they put in two little rubber deflector flaps then eh?

Use vaseline.

Go into the supermarket and just buy a big tub of vaseline then smile at the checkout girl/man when they look at you funny.

You need some non-conducting silicone grease. Northwind pointed us in the direction of Maplins but took me ages to find it in the store. It was not even displayed and only after going through the catalogue with a fine tooth comb was I able to find it and got a staff to check at the back.

Anyways they only had two left and so I bought them meaning to offer them to someone at cost. They cost £3.49 so it's yours for that plus the postage if you want it.

Cheers
Ben

'Tis a sod to find.

Incidentally, Northwind's least classy story. While staying with a girlfriend in a rather small northern town, he is sent to the chemist to buy more condoms and some KY jelly. He approaches the counter, laden with his purchases, and the antique pharmacist holds up the package and shouts really loudly "YOU WANT TO BUY KY JELLY?", drawing the attention of literally the entire village. Well, what can you do? "YES!", he shouted, "I'M GOING TO **** MY GIRLFRIEND UP THE ****"
