Default Cagiva Raptor thou

Am tinkering with the idea of getting one. What are peoples comments about them

If I were to get one, it would be a 2001/2002 model.

Didn't Amanda M say she had one in a recent thread?

I'd like one... But with your history, spares availability might be an issue

I like them, but think an 03 SV1000n would be a more sensible bet (and they're certainly around at very sensible prices).

I have thought about this too. I have just decided to put my fingers in my ears and sing "la la la, can't hear you"

I really did think about the SV thou, but truth is, I just don't like the frame. When your buying a naked bike you really do have to like the frame seeing as it's on show so much.

Well engine spares shouldn't be a problem as its a tl engine, its just crash damage that would make it a nightmare to get bits for. I know some one who had a raptor a he loved it, with the twin art cans it sounded like thunder. It was the V-Raptor too, which to be honest is a bit extreme, looked mental with flat bars though.

What were they thinking of with the v-raptor? The naked is gorgeous as it is.

Those cans are nice, but the pipework's awful. The standard design's so neat, it's a shame to ruin it.
