whats wrong with kids today

Ok I'm getting on a bit but I'm not an angry old man ( I'm 37) and I am really easy going.
Finished work today and as I'm not well I am in the car .
pull car out of car park and there are 3 kids /youths well I'd guess aged 15 -16 , with hoodies on who won't move out of the way , give them a stare and they just start shacking this hands , eventually they move and as they go past car one of them bangs their hand on the roof of the car .

Now I'm a resonable person but that was enough , stuck car into reverse and drove back at them at speed , stop car and open door and they run off , which is probably a good thing .

WTF is happening in the UK?

Basically they do it because they can. You should see what is like in a school mate!!

Adults on the other hand..

Kids arnt punished and they get everything they want. Im only 21, but when I was younger I feared my parents nastier side so I didnt get into trouble if I could help it. I vividly remember my dad washing my brothers mouth out with soap because he swore one time too many, and both my parents used the good ol' "smack on the bum" method of keeping us in line (btw, it hasnt turned me into some sort of psycho...whats wrong with a smack on the bum or a clip around the ear?). Whats more, if I wanted ANYTHING i could only have it at xmas or birthdays, except when I grew out of clothes and shoes, even then that was only every six months. We used to get a small gift at easter, like a little lego toy or something.

Kids these days get everything, and give nothing back. They have too many rights, can get away with too much. Give back some power of discipkline to paretns and other people like teachers, then we wont have so much of this problem.

Of course, there will always be tearaways, so we cant solve the problem 100%

There has been loads of discussion on this in the past and it always gets heated between the, 'its not their fault - save the children' crew and the 'they all need shot' crew.

My opinion is that it originates from the parents who probably had them at 14 - 16 years of young and brought them up in a crap environment, mainly because these 16 year old parents have no money and are only kids themselves, so have no clue how to bring up a child, all they know is the fact that they need to have more (3 to be precise) to get their free house and the most money from the goverment.

The kids then unfortunately have the same attitude as their parents and have kids when they are 14-16 aswell............basically replicating like rats.

and as you know, rats are a very hard problem to sort out and only get worse.

All my opinion of course.
