Default HID bolt-on conversion

hello all, i know this has been covered a few time before but i am looking for your opinions on the best bolt-on hid conversion for both a pointy and curvy sv.

please note i am not technically minded, i am looking for a simple bolt-on kit which requires not soldering etc.

any comments would be appreciated.

thank you in advance

Geoff

I think a lot of members (myself included) will recommend hids4u.co.uk their kit was spot on for me. running twin 55w ones was too much for the stock fuse so I had to wire a new run for them that was all. but thats only because I'd got two of the higher kits.

so that is only with the higher spec kit, which would you recommend and which would require no modifications

Hey Geoffrey, sorry I did not get back to you earlier, busy days!

Mine is the 35w hids4u kit, I have not fitted enough of them to say any particular make is better than another though.

With any there will be some small wiring mods to make.

The kits predominantly come from the same factories in china anyway, they all look the same, the reason I go to HIDs4u is because they've always been good sellers and their customer support is excellent...

Wiring in 2x 35W HIDs will require a relay most likely, if you're not confident doing it get someone who is and don't just fudge it. It's honestly not difficult though, take your time and do it right

Yes most of them which use a relay come with a H4 male plug which you plug directly in instead of a bulb, then connect the feed wires directly to the battery. It is all fused and switched itself, so the actual headlight switch on the bars only controls a switching current for the relay.
