Yorkie Chris did mine for me and I think I'm down to about 10 wires total.

Three from the kill switch, three from the battery. A relay for the starter and then back to the ECU (6) and two for each coil. However, I have no idea what he looped/put a resistor in/bypassed in doing this. The side stand switch and the clutch switch were the issues. I'm still not sure if the TPS needs to be wired in or not Doesn't seem so.

Best PM Yorkie Chris (if he's coherent after Dave's Birthday ) and ask him.

Bike Electrics are a mystical beast to me.

Look at some of the threads on TWFracing.com Its my understanding other than the ignition lock there is not alot more that can be stripped. Zoran had indicated it wasn't worth the effort. Look in the electrical/wiring section. There are a few posts about the 2nd gen.
