Default Rounded off screws...

If, like me, you always seem to be removing and refitting the carbs on your bike the screws that tighten the bracket to hold the air box on to the carbs and the carbs on to the engine have a tendency to round off far too easily.

Suzuki only sell replacements as part of the whole bracket which, whilst not expensive at a few quid, is daft. If anyone is interested it appears that any M4 Pan Head screw will fit if it is around, or over, 25mm long. Screwfix do a nice range that cost £ 2.06 for 50.

Note that Suzuki do sell replacement screws for the other areas of the carbs so it is easy to replace them as required.

Good hint... I scavved mine off another engine, but I've seen some where it's been replaced with jubille clips and they're a pain in the bum.

Jubilee clips are only a pain in the **** if you dont have a proper screwdriver/socket thing designed for doing them up. I have and they are a dodle apart from the fact i dont have any on my bike and still have the rounded off suzuki ones

I tried that but everywhere I looked I couldn't find any M4 allen bolts (cap head) long enough.

Where did you get yours?
