Default Race Rearsets. (Pictures to follow)

Hi All. Just purchaced some race rearsets for my K4S. Only problem is they didnt come with instructions. i am aware that you need to adjust the linkage from the pedal to the shifter. However I have run it up and down so every possible position has been tried but I still cant get the damm thing out of neutral! It wont budge. On a lighter note though they do look dmm good! And the riding position linked with the new jack up kit feels much better. Any help much appreciated. ATB

it might help if you told us which ones you've got, perhaps someone on here has the same. or even a picture or two?

Cheers Mark.

I have the same rearsets and have no trouble with mine.

Altering the length of the gear shift rod you have pictured only changes the position of the gear shift pedal in relation to the foot rest.

I.e makeing the rod longer makes the gear lever position lower and shortening the rod makes the gear lever higher.

you just set it up to where it feels comfortable.

having trouble finding gears is something else not related to that rod maybe something else you've disturbed in fitting the rearsets.

you've tried the obvious rocking forwards and backwards i take it?

Cheers mate. No unfortunately can't rock it back and froward at the moment. Its on paddock stands with the rear wheel off as im changing f+r spockets and chain. So that could be the reason why. ATB

I didnt bother mounting the oe brakelight switch i used a hydraulic banjo instead.

basically you replace the banjo bolt holding your rear brake line onto the rear brake master cylinder with the new banjo switch. The switch operates from hydraulic presure when you step on the brake and operates your brake light.

takes a bit of fitting and you have to bleed the brake but its not too hard.

here's one on ebay but most bike shops will sell you one.
