Default Flat battery - Advice please!

Just been down to start my bike but the batt is dead. It has been sat around for a while as I haven't passed my test yet

Gonna borrow a 12v charger from a mate but do I need to take the fuse out of the alarm or anything like that before I connect the charger?

And one other thing... The battery is under the seat, how does the seat come off? I'm new to bikes!

Be careful with the charger. Make sure it has a bike battery setting or trickle charge facility otherwise you could completely fry the battery. Think you may need to buy a new battery anyway.

It's a bit presumptuous to assume that just because his battery has gone flat from non use that he will need a new one is it not My battery has run flat three or four times now due to the SV being off the road for one reason or another, and each time I have charged it back up and had no issues with it.

Cheers for the info..

I've borrowed a 12v charger until I get myself one and it's left to charge overnight, fingers crossed it will be fine. Was gonna buy an Optimate last week aswell but got a new screen instead.. Doh!

Just preparing Nick for the worst.
In my experience bike batteries are very fickle, but I sincerely hope my assumption is incorrect and a charge will revive it.

Mine had a flat battery when I bought her and had only been charged the week before apparently. Jumped her from a charger, my brother rode her home from Collumpton to Plymouth and I've not had any problems since!!!

I jumped her then my brother rode her??

I've just made my sv sound like a proper little hooker!!!

Yes, yes you did. What a little tart your SV is. Nice

Can we all have a ride of her. Do you think she is up for that
