Right now I've learnt my lesson I will use Loctite in future.. So no need for THOSE comments :P
Okay so I've got an SK4 and have owned it for around a year, and I've never had an issue with things coming loose till recently, I lost my right hand side bar end, the right hand side radiator lower fairing bolt and one of my hugger screws. First question is pro-bolt do stainless steel replacement bolts, but will they look the same as the others? As in the rounded head ect. Second question since fitting the gsxr clip-ons i've never been able to get a tight fit on the bar end on the right, if I tighten it too much it stops the throttle returning, and if not then it comes loose and falls out (as happened), is there a quick fix for this? I've got a spare bar end but I can't fit it without it being loose. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense I've just written what my thoughts are, hope you can help me! Thanks! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?dqj2iq |

the only place that does OEM bolts to match the rest are suzuki who charge a fortune for them.
why not change them all for something more readily available/industry standard and are cheep as chips. http://www.aruncas.com/acatalog/index.html ooohhh and shameless plug ![]() http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=177533 |

If your bar end is touching the throttle tube then you need to move the throttle assembly over

Dunno about new grips. You'd have to shave a bit off the end of the throttle tube, and the grip. Might look a bit ruff in the jungle ... in the in the jungle |

Couldn't you just put some washers on the bar end bolt to hold it a bit further away?

i cant make out the bottom photo to well but i suspect that there is not enough bar tube to accommodate the throttle tube. try moving the brake MC bracket up as far as you can get it then move the switchgear along as far as you can get it (drill a new hole for the locating pin if you have to) this should give you enough length on the bar tube. you have taken the bar end out of the bung which is never a good idea as now you have to get the bung out and attach the nut that sits on the end, always loosen the bar ends then pull them off.
another thing i have noticed is that you have put the bars on top of the yokes. depending on what forks you have you could potentially be dropping the front by 30mm+ |
