Default Does anyone have experience of riding in Switzerland full time?

Going to be moving there soon, and will be taking the big bike. Does anyone know of what the local cops are like with regard to pipes etc?

Thanks in advance!

Some really odd laws in Swizerland.
eg, If you live in a multistory you can flush the toilet after 10pm.
Absolutly NOTHING is allowed to be done on Sunday this includes and home improvements or cutting your own lawn/washing you car and obviously you'll NEVER find an open shop on Sundays either.

I'm planning in being in Switzerland some time over the summer - with my illegal can. Not been before - do they have border posts where they inspect and turn you back???

Would not let it worry you.

I remember coming over the brow of a hill on ze Autobahn, full race system on the cam, well into 3 figures only to see the border crossing. Cue mucho anchors. Guard had a bit of a face on him to say the least.

Stopped, took helmet off, wished him a cheery good day and handed over our passports as he clocked the zorst and then heard him tut. He waved us on and tootled away, already in 6th gear by 35mph, tail well and truly between the legs...........

Nice and easy when you get to the border then. Never had any problems since. Never see any cops in the sticks.

Highest gun ownership in Europe and you can buy a big book with every drivers home address in it, according to Clarkson a few year ago. All the local bikers I saw were not in the slightest law abiding and quietly quietly.

Make sure you don't have speed camera database in your satnav (if you use one), they'll have it off you.
