Default Anyone with any running issues in cold?

Hi guys, Ive tried the search with no outcome so here i am!

In the last week or so my sv has gone from running fine back to its annoying winter ways. Its a 2000 model and when its below 10 degrees it seems to run very rough and cut out quite frequently after around 15 mins of riding. This mixed with the wet weather today was very interesting with it cutting out almost every time i pulled the clutch in.

Any ideas as to the reason for this? Spark plugs are fine, the choke operates fine (and was on at this point) so im abit unsure as to what could be causing it......

Cheers,

Ash.

Carb icing?
Assuming its not wet front plug syndrome then its the time of year to put some anti ice additive in.

This

It sounds very much like carb icing to me, ah memory's of my old Vauxhall nova (not funny having to park up on the hard shoulder for 5-10 minuets every 10 miles of a motorway jaunt)

But carb icing only happens on a curvy for a few months a year, Pointy's are ugly every day of the year.

PS: +1 for Pro FST

Carb icing and the idle speed may be too low.

As everyone has said use an additive

my bike isn't pointy, it's naked, but if you want to slag off the looks, curvy SVs look like rejected toys from fisher price

'cept for naked curvys, they look quite spiffy
