Default Best Cleaning product

Hiya Guys.

anyone got any comments on products used to keep the bike clean? I like the old soapy water method, but you always end up with water spots no matter how hard you try. At the dealers they have a spray can that they spray and rub down for a great shine so some sort of spray polish I suppose.

Any recommendation??

To avoid water spots dry it off with a clean cloth... I use muc-off (well, HG's generic version, since it's about £6 for 5 litres) and a hose to clean it, then dry it off and polish up with Mer (I really like Mer, it goes on well and gives a good thick layer)

don't use washing-up liquid/detergent. Bad for vehicles.

Use a good quality Car Shampoo. You'll use very little on a bike wash, so a bottle will last a long time. I favour Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo, as it keeps building the wax layer as you wash.

A damp genuine chamois leather is hard to beat for drying off any bodywork, the synthetic ones just dont cut it IMO.
