Default Cutting my exhaust

Im fairly new to this site and have found a lot of info that im sure will come in handy sooner or later.

Now i want to cut my stock exhaust and fit something different, problems are.
1 where exactly should i cut.
2 what exhaust can should i fit, i would prefer one that looks smart that i dont have to tinker with the fueling.
3 one that sits a little higher than the stock one.

SV650s K4 2004 model and want to keep the rear pegs for the misses.

Looked at lots of pictures but still none the wiser.

Buget is about £150.

Grant.

3 one that sits a little higher than the stock one. You can get a 'high-level' link pipe, but if you want to keep the rear pegs, you'll need extenders fitting to the R/H side pillion peg - CCC may have these too!
Hope this helps

CCC direct (on eBay) here - £110

Hello,

CCC do not fit very well high level on the k4>k6 models, well not as standard anyway, this can be rectified!!!
AND

But this can be cured,

CCC are aware of this but don't seem to be too bothered about solving it, hence the DIY aproach, can supply more info if you wish but you will be able to get one for about the £150 mark new.

I asked the question about going 'high-level' on the eBay ad... The reply was...

I hope it fits well as i have just bought a high level Carbon can co. can.

Havent had time to fit it yet ( but if it looks like that its going straight back to Fleetwood ).

Looks very good in the box though - lol

Good luck MAC!!!

Let me know if it fits, i've phoned, emailed and even spoke to the guys at CCC face to face about this!!! And there answer was, we designed it to fit the k3, we've never had a later model in for a refit, if you want to bring your bike to us for a fitting that'll be ok, as far as we're aware its not a problem!!!! ETC ETC ETC!!!!

Main problem is the fitting bar, not the link pipe!!! MAC what bar have they supplied you??? a straight one??
