mark on it where you need to cut and saw it off, we used a hack saw

ooo. is there anywere special its needs to be cut off? and how does it all go back together again? :S

yes, the instructions from our fuel can said cut it 50mm after the weld (i think).
if you want to put the original can back on you'll need a link pipe.

prolly worth a search if you have any more questions about this.

Did you not get any instructions with your can.

Distance will vary depending on the manufacturer, its normally between 40 - 50mm, measured from the weld

See below, marked with the red arrow.



You want a good quality blade in a haxsaw or an angle grinder. Cover up your swing arm with something to protect it from over enthusiastic cutting / sawing, Also take care you dont cut your heel plates.

Oh and measure twice, cut once.
