About time too!!! As oil is traded in US dollars and that is worth peanuts atm, our prices should have fallen weeks ago. The oil companies are making a mint out of the weakness of the dollar. I need to fill my heating oil tank, but can't afford to!

oh come on. Petrol is up and down like a yo yo. I've given up worrying about it nowadays. I mean it was what, £1 a litre on average. It dropped to 84p per litre. Thats 74p per gallon change!!!
It will go back up, it will come back down. Plus that and on the 2 occasions that i have used Asda fuel i have had trouble, i wouldnt ever use it again. |

Then folks like Tesco sat up & took notice, and dropped prices. The likes of Shell weren't far behind. These companies dropped prices because they were starting to loose sales. They were simply behind the game, and it was damage limitation. Adsa dropping prices is only the start, others will follow suit, so if you don't like buying at Adsa, just kick back and wait. In time, even Shell's V-Power will drop in price. Whoever the guy is at Asda that had the foresight to change the market, he definitely needs a beer in his hand! |

Current oil price is around $55.6 a barrel. That's £28.67 a barrel. When petrol was £1 a litre, the oil price was $62 a barrel (? willing to be corrected) but the exchange rate was 15% lower, which meant that a barrel of crude was around £36.60 a barrel. Have we seen a 20% drop in fuel prices? No didn't think so.
BTW Petrol is 89p around here and was that in Scotland over the holiday too. Diesel is 92p and heating oil is double the price it was 5 years ago. |

From there, I can push it (not literally mind) around a good 40 miles at motorway speeds (officer!) before the light goes steady. When the light is steady, she'll go roughly 8 miles (at country lane speeds is the only time I've tested it, 50mph zone) before she's drier than a rattlesnakes bum. So to answer your question, in litres, someone will be along shortly to tell you ![]() Mike, I know what you're saying, the cost of oil has gone down a crap load comparatively, and we haven't seen that drop in fuel prices, but that's only because the folks that sell the fuel like to sleep on a bed of scottish £1 notes. By the way, 89p is a little steep for these parts, you should come back to civilisation a bit more ![]() ![]() I'm hoping the current debcale will settle at low 70's. But I did say hoping! |
