Yes, I know it's been covered 1000 times but I have just one question!
Will a junior hacksaw do the job or will it be better with a full size hacksaw? I thinking about how much access you get to the area you need to saw ![]() I know an angle grinder is the best way but there isn't a power point anywhere near where I keep my bike ![]() |

Buy an extension lead then instead of hacksaw and use the grinder

I did mine with a Junior hacksaw but about 3 blades. I found the junior better than a full size, but could have been blades I had. Didnt take too long. Grinder quicker but I didnt have one at time. Access want a problem, just do a straight cut mind.

![]() ![]() ![]() I got a tip for anyone using a hacksaw. I used a Homebase junior hacksaw with a pack of spare blades (for metal obviously!). Swap the blade for the metal one before you start as the original blade is useless. Once the blades were swapped I cut through in 10 mins or so. Easy! |

Mine had to be cut 50mm from the weld. Not sure about a Scorpion can though, can't you ring them and check? If you look at the connecting pipe there will be a wider sleeve section that fits on the end of the standard exhaust, measure that and the distance you need to cut will be the same. (I think!)

I cant help with the cut off measurement for the Scorpion as I havent got one. Loads of people on here have though. Might be worth having a search as I suspect this will have come up before. Failing that give Scorpion themselves a ring and ask them.
![]() Where you want to measure from is the weld and then cut it from there, but cut past the weld towards the rear of the bike not in front of the weld. I've highlighted the weld with an arrow in the picture above. HTH
