Default Single Cylinder when should be 2

Hi people

Just change my bars on my 99 naked SV to wider ones replace throttle cables and clutch cable and made sure everything could move free. I fired the bike up and it only running on 1 cylinder (the front) so having had this before i did the usual take out the choke plungers and lube them and dry out the plugs put them back. Went to take the bike for another spin still firing on 1 (front only again) took it round the block to try and get it to no avail. It also revving at 3k on tick over.

Ideas???? even my dad who autoelectrician a bit stumped off face of it. Said he will have a look with me when mum stops piling him with chores

Cheers

OL

Sounds a lot like the problem I had on the monster recently. It was running on one cylinder so we (Mr Squid ) checked the spark plug and there was a spark so we thought it might be a fuel blockage, but no problems there. Ended up replacing the spark plug for a new one and hey presto everything worked fine so it was down to a faulty plug even though it appeared to be sparking properly.

Arrow Re: Single Cylinder when should be 2

Hello found out that it was in fact one of the choke cables had been pulled out at the 'T' piece so it was acting as though 1 choke was on and the other was off giving the pain in the bum of the dodgy firing. This is all because of the new position on the extended handlebars.

My Dad also balanced up the carbs whilst he was there so now should run better as well whoo hoo!!

So any ideas as to where i can buy longer ones? if not i will have to make one.

Cheers Peeps
