Just come back from an outing with the mrs on her bandit and was feeling a bit more brave but there was always a damned can in the way. I'm still not that brave yet

Cool pictures by the way and get yourself some sliders!

definatly get rid of the MEZ4's, the handling of my bike changed for the better instantly!!

just build some confidence up on the new tyres for a while and then when the weather gets better in the spring. scout out a nice big roundabout with a good surface that you can see all the way round. wait till it's nice and quiet and see what you can do.

although i would say the best thing would be to go on a track day (the most fun you'll ever have) and while there ask one of the instructors to go out on track with you (usually free). i did this and before i knew it without intending to my knee was scraping around the last few corners of silverstone

Are you just try to get big lean or scrape your knee?

After reading some of your posts in the 'Filming Thread' I would have thought the type of riding required to do either on the road would be against your morals anyway.

If your bothered about diesel/cars/gravel......then book a cheap trackday and really realise what your bike is capable of.

I just feel like its a thing i should be able to do although in reality a big lean would surfice most of the time. Track day is he way me thinks. Is there any likleyhood of and org trackday in the future?

Next time you look at a Metzler z6, have a look at the outside edge of the tire tread.

Just tried to google for a picture but came up blank

looks like a fair bit more lean than your normal roundabout surfer ... bearing in mind the normal ground clearance issues of the SV, have you got a large rear shock and some rearsets?

I felt a bit silly but then I was carrying more corner speed than the majority of people there, one guy came up to me and was like 'I am very embarrassed,' I was like, 'yeah, but you didn't crash!'

Anyways, here's some pictures of me from the day:

There are more but they're pretty much the same; also it looks like my peg is scraping on one of them?
looks cool, what kind of speed you doing?

There are pics of loads of people, about 7 bikes out :P

Shock's all the way up; but I do weigh a lot. My pegs are narrower than the OEM ones by about an inch and sort of go pointy at the end, it stops them digging in when they scrape, but I do have a lot of ground clearance it seems!
