OK, this is a total luxury, but why not? I have an ABBA stand, but I often can't be bothered with it for a paddock stand job (also, it's in Mattthellony's garage) so I keep a paddock stand as well. I had a Bike-It one, but it's totally fallen apart, to the point where it wasn't safe to use, so I thought I'd get a nicer one- so why not the King of paddock stands, Harris
![]() Made from a single bend of stainless pipe, so it's not exactly compact, but it's stronger than I'll ever need and absolutely rock solid- the old one was like coathangers by comparison. It's harder to lift the bike with than the old one- the uprights are longer, so it lifts higher but also it needs more force to lift it. Worth £55? Well... Aye, I reckon so, for me. A cheapy would be half the price, but I've worn one out already, this one should last forever. It's also much less likely to fail, or to bend, or to allow the bike to wobble off while I'm working on it, though really that's not very likely anyway. Then, I used the old one constantly for 3 years, that's not typical usage. So I probably wouldn't recommend it for someone who uses a paddock stand once a month to clean their chain. It's still ace though, looks fantastic, and should last forever.

Seconded, I have the above rear stand as well, and the bike's rock solid on it.
If you want a work of art get the one below but it's expensive. ![]() |

Hi, do you need extra bits to use this or other paddock stands with an SV?

Best buy in this months Ride
![]() But they did say Oxford Stormex cover was great and I found the lining sucked up water like a sponge off the floor. If the stand has V's you'll need cotton reels/bobbins on the swingarm. If the stand has cups all you need is the SV. |
