Now its only done 2100 miles so far so GW said dont bother untill its done the miles. I asked about the fact that the book says 4000 or 6 months affectin the warranty, to which i was told they have never had a problem with a warranty claim if the bike was serviced on the millage instead of the every 6 months. A bit of good news i though that will save me a few quid next month. I will probably need to get it done in July nyway after the AR and NW3.5 plus a few other rides in the sun.

Hmm, not sure about that. Say you had the bike sitting in a garage for two years not being ridden. Setting service intervals by mileage alone seems daft to me. Common sense prevails I guess.

Mind you, only put 2k on the Zed since I got it on 1st March...... (4.5 mile each way commute doesnt help me rack the miles, but as its A23 to Moorgate its got to be some of the most interesting road to commute on)

I have had it since the first week in december, and i dont use it everyday, its a toy as i have two cars to chose from for the rubbish days. I dont like riding in the rain.

That is ok SoulKiss, i suppose i am effectivly, but like i said its because i am fortunate enough that i can pick and choose my days to be on the bike. If like you i lived/wprked in or arround a big city i too would ride every day, and probably not on the 6R.

Like you say i have it in writing now from them, and its getting saved just in case i need it. I agree it could be silly to wait for 4000 miles if it was goingto take me an other 6 months, but i will reach it n an other 2 months so it wil be getting serviced about 2 months after the 6 month point. I was just after clarity on their take on waiting that bit longer. They are happy so it will wait till 4000 miles .
