Cool indicator advice

Just bought a 2005 sv 650 sport in black and think its the mutts nuts. The problem I have is that the indicator on the right side is obscured by the race can that was fitted when I bought the bike. The indicators arn't original , they are small and colour matched to the exhaust. Does anyone know if you can get indicators that fit into the bodywork just below the seat as this would raise the indicators above the exhaust and thus increase visibility and reduce the liklihood of the rozzers taking more than a passing interest in my pride and joy.
Whilst I'm being a complete noob just looked under the pillion seat, found a thin metal rod with a metal loop at one end. It aint attached to anything....any ideas???

Yup, Motrax (amongst other companies) do a whole series of flush mounted indicators.

That metal thingy-ma-bobby is the tank prop. Basically, look at the front of your tank, 2 allen bolts. If you take those out, take the rider seat off, you can lift the tank up. If you don't hold it, you'll trap your fingers when you attack the air-box!

So the tank prop sits on the top of the yokes (huge bolt middle of the steering) and the other end without the loop pokes through a hole where the allen bolts were.
