Came out in 2005, I think. It's great. Mind-bogglingly accurate - I know TT/MGP racers who use it to brush up on the course before racing.

Ah, I think that is the one I played and had laughable physics, graphics from a Spectrum 48k. TT is so much better.

I agree, it was such a waste. The sensation of speed and the look of the game (for PS2) are good, it "feels" like you're on a bike. Unfortunately that bike is killed by all sorts of stupid nannies and aids and crappy tyre physics and behaviour that it's no fun at all.

Hmm, I found it heaps of fun just trying to complete a lap of the Nurburgring without crashing. But then I love the GT series so it figures.

That was the big problem with it - the bikes seemed to want to fall over all of the time. I know I've not got the best record where falling off's concerned, but real bikes don't *generally* try and flop over at the slighest provocation.

TT Superbikes might have rather dated graphics but the gameplay is spot on. With a bit of luck the new one will have similar gameplay but be rather easier on the eye - it certainly looks alright: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mglycsjj1l0&feature=user

I think they based it on the 'Philbut' physics engine.

The new TT one was meant to be out two years ago and there was no ps3 to develop for back then. I did wonder if they'd hold it back further and rejig it for the ps3 but fortunately not.

I got GRID even though I much prefer the sim type racers like Forza rather than arcade like PGR4. I think it's brilliant. It is arcade, it has quirky physics, you can crash out too easily hence the flashback options and its just a lot of fun.

Looking forward to SBK08 on 360!
