Default Just bought an SV650 - hints?

Just bought one of these beauties 02 SV650S.
Upon looking at the spark plugs, they look a bitch to remove, any hints guys?

back one is easy.

front one you need to remove the bolt in the rad so it swings out of the way a bit

He's right you know, but also if you undo the fairing bolts and pop them off the mounting lugs it makes it easy to swing the rad forward.

The suzuki plug spanner that comes in the toolkit in my experience is the best way of getting the front plug out.

When you refit the HT lead make sure you put the grommet on properly and thats its recessed down into the head otherwise you'll run a greater risk of getting water in there when it rains.

Welcome to the site, as said the back one is easy just pop the tank up. As for the front you'll need to remove your front side fairings and then undo the bottom bolt securing the rad and swing it forward, not much room but its enough!

If you are planning on riding in the rain get yourself a fender extender to keep the water off the front spark plug!

Hello and welcome to the .org

as above really when changing the plugs, just put the HT rubber grommets back on the right way up, there should be a little arrow on the rubber grommet according to the Haynes manual

Just make sure all the bolts that will be needed to be undone i.e. brake pad pins footpeg rear brake lever gear selector etc are well lubed as suzuki are shy of using it and these things can be a b**** to undo but as yours isn't new then these things should have been done already.
