Shed break in!

The insurance saga is so far not bad. Just got to find the excess Time to raid the house account (We'll never get a nice sum in there!)

The way they do it nowadays is that they replace the stuff and not send you a cheque like the old days(Cancel the holiday then ) Sadly my bike isnt available anymore but the one they are sending is ok...it may mean that i will cycle to work every now and again.

How are they doing it? When it happened to me, I was contacted by a tool suppliers that had been appointed to me. They sent me a form to complete and I had to list what was taken. To be honest, I didn't know exactly because it was all old stuff that I had acquired (ie nicked from my dad) over the years. I just told them that it was general diy and car/bike maintainance stuff. They said that was fine and they would supply me with a reasonable amount of replacements.

When it arrived I thought it was my birthday and christmas all together. I couldn't even find room to store a lot of it.

There was me hoping you were asking for advice like

"Should I break it in to manufacturers spec, or just open it up and go for it"

Well, i had a company called wheelies direct that sorted out the push bikes which was good, and i am still waiting for the tool/garden people to call. Its sad that i know what was in my secondary tool box. I used to keep my 'expensive' tools in a plain battered old tool box thinking that they would attempt to take my tool chest. How wrong can you be. I know roughly what was in there, including my Fluke multimeter which i bought when i was a trainee spraks. Thats gutting and possibly ht emost expensive thing in there at about £200

Well, just sorted the tools and garden stuff. Getting a nice £140 set of spanners to replace my halfrauds set...nice B)

So far after trawling the web for ideas on security the best i have come across was from some bloke called me

That's all well and good. But don't forget to draw a map before you do, otherwise you may have difficulty locating your new bike and tools.
