Well with the majority of the votes going to the yoshi you'll be pleased to hear I've ordered one from the states £260 bargain. Whoop I'm so excited, I want it now pictures to follow the minute I get the bugger.

Cool, you go with the R-55 or did you fall to the dark side and get an R-77 like mine?

No I went with the R55, I think the R77 looks abit portly, it's a fatter version of the akra . Plus I facied the different look of the R55.

Hahah...I thought the same initially, but the more I looked...the more I warmed to it - cos it's stubbier than the Akra it definitely helps. The Akra for the K8 is an abomination

R-55 is nice though - I just didn't go with it as I wanted to keep with the original style of the bike (full rather than stubby exhaust).

I think your exhaust with the black bike go really well. I'd have done the same if i'd have had a black one but i thought the stub suited it more.. Well hope it will. Would like a sound clip of yours though, give me something to look forward too

Unfortunately it won't it's not that dramatic a change! Cos of the cat...is my theory (and many others ).

Look forward to seeing pics of the R-55...I thought about stubbying it too as mentioned, have you thought what you are doing with the pillion footpegs? I reckoned it was likely K6/7 ones would fit (so you didn't have the pointless hole on one) but never looked into it...

I'm getting rid of the pegs, never take pillions so will take them off to save the weight

Fair enough, unfortunately I can't make the wife get all the gear and then not let her ride on the back however, she doesn't get on with the tiny seat that well anyway much prefers the CBR!

Pegs make good crash protectors for the tailpod.
