You really have to chill, its all friendly banter and sadly you rose to the bait.

Anyway, welcome to the forum. I fitted the fabbri screen to Fizz' better halfs K5 and it needed no modification at all to fit. They are good screens and worth the money. Zero Gravity are also very good. I personaly would stay away from the likes of Powerbronze as i have had, and know of a lot of people that have had issues with their paint quality. The hugger itself is meant to sit pretty close to the rear tyre. I had a Suzuki part which was great, but over the years and the miles, it cracked and fell to pieces, I think that the SV's swing arm is quite, flexible! I still fail to see what a hugger actaully does. I took mine off, re-fitted the crap flap and its no more, or less dirty than it was when it was fitted. Consmeticly, its looks good though. A fiend had Pezzo levers and the looked great, but a lever is a lever. As said, spend the money on a set of springs and some oil for the front forks. T 'G-Pack' mod can essentialy be done with out it. All it does is remove a limiter in the top gears. Its really not worth the effort or cash, so dont bother.

Shut up, you pikey northern monkey and go and clean that shed of a bike of yours

For the benefit of others, I can come across as a bit abrasive, but believe me when I say I can and will help out where I can, as many here will testify. Some of them I've never met have been sent things through the post that are quite valuable, on trust that they'll be returned when they are done with them. I've even given Wow useful advice on a couple of threads without taking the mick out of her penchant for large capacity American built V-twins, though I admit I have had a tongue in cheek pop at her for it beforehand, but who doesn't rip it out of a Harley or BMW owner now and then?

If it looks like p1sstaking, that's all it is - some people are just more likely to shout they're being victimised when it happens. You'll know when I've really got the bit between my teeth on the insulting front, and it hasn't happened yet.

There are a lot of helpful people on here. Focus on those and just skip the other messages. Otherwise a good forum, just spoilt by some but if it weren't them I'm sure new ones would pop up on a large forum like this one. Take care.

Actually thats not true, I've never met those two people at all never ever in real life. I dont really talk to them online much either so sorry but you have your facts wrong there.

You'd been on the forum what a couple of weeks, before you started complaining to the admin team about what looked like to me as just some banter, I'm sorry but you cant own a harley without expecting some micky taking, just like I cant own a GSXR without taking a similar level of micky taking. Which I do quite frequently and worse than you got on here about your harley.

I always try to look at each situation impartially as do all the mods on this site, I looked at what had been said to you and I told you I thought you were being oversensitive, as I belive John did when you then complained to him about it as well. If you dont like it, thats not my problem.

This is the kind of thing the ignore function in your user control panel is for, if you dont like somebody add them to your ignore list and then you wont see their posts anymore.

to the OP if you want the levers just go and buy the f*cking things, what are you so insecure that you have to run every choice you make about modding your bike past aload of people on the t'internet that you've not met before. Who gives a rats a*se about what anybody else thinks anyway. Its your bike, do to it what you like.

There is none. You have chosen to post here. The majority of people know each other whether it be just online or in person too. If you turned up for a rideout then you'd be greeted warmly as anyone else is, if you crashed then people would bend over backwards to help you out. If you don't like that then either man up or go elsewhere.

In response to Fizzwheel's message:

You have no idea what bullying is about. But as said before there are plenty of helpful people on here so I'm not giving up on the .org

I have no problem with ignoring messages or people but sometimes the wrong or misleading advice is given which can even be dangerous.

I have no idea how bullying could occur online. There is nothing to force you to listen to it.

Wow I seem to remember the thread when you actually got your knickers in a twist was about lowering your bike, where advice was given about handling changes which could be dangerous if you're used to a bike handling in certain ways. Why you took offence at that I have no idea.

just to bring this thread back to its original point - is the pyramid plastics hugger that bad? as mine has just turned up and won't bother trying to fit it if its going to be a pile of jazz.

Pyramid huggers are ok, but the bracketry on the right side of the swingarm is a bit Mickey Mouse. If you have some 20 gauge stainless steel plate you can fabricate a new L shaped bracket that bolts into the two holes in the hugger, then goes down to the swingarm and bolts onto the brake hose loop fixing - S models have one hole there, Nakeds have two, you can make a bracket that fixes to one or both. It's a simple effective bracket that takes about 15 minutes to make and looks far better than Pyramid's efforts.

I must ask my ex to photograph the one I made for her SV's Pyramid hugger, so you can see what I mean.
