Searching the forum for "Bar ends" removes "ends" (obviously a popular word....) and gives me lots of results for the word "bar".
Not useful when I'm looking for some bar ends information. So, bar ends. Thats what I'm talking about. Is there some sort of specification, if I was about to go and trawl eBay for some? More specifically, I need the whole unit, expander thing, bolt, metal end. Is that the usual way they're supplied? Many bar ends related thanks |

There are two types of bar end, the bolt on ones and the clamp in ones. For a Curvy you will ned to bot on ones and for the Pointy you will need the clamp in ones...
Bolt ![]() Clamp ![]() You tend to get the whole assembly with the clamp type. |

I got R&G ones for my pointy and they are nice- the bottom type, like Dave says.

The tube size governs what you can fit but they have different weights and lengths.Initially I had a vibration problem with my SV so I experimented with different combinations till I came across a set-up that completely eleviated the problem. This may not be related to your enquiry,so if it is purely for cosmetic reasons buy what pleases you

![]() Oddly, riding without any seems to improve the vibration - i.,e reduce it. 18mm, clamp type. Right. |

The rubber bung type, (some are supplied with a metal expander), which you refer to as 'clamp in' fits all nakeds as they have tubular 'bars. Curvy 'S' 'bars are solid with a tapped hole in the end, and use the variety without the expander.
