I'm surprised you need to move that much. I don't notice YC moving at all (body-wise, obviously he moves his arms and head
![]() I'm not familiar with the position a pillion would be in on a 675, does it make it difficult for the pillion to grip with their legs properly? As in squeeze into you as opposed to moving forward? If MrsLylej is finding herself being shunted forward to much then maybe you just need to change your riding style a little and break a bit more gently? As someone mentioned, there are a few muscles being used which she won't be used to and so they are bound to be a bit sore until she gets used to it ![]() |

![]() Those Tribo seats look pretty damned cool the rr pillion seat slipperyness is the biggest problem with me aswell....that looks like the ideal solution.

Clamp with her legs! She'll moan about being stiff at first, but then will be happier after a bit of practise once she's gained inner thigh strength. (Plus there are other added bonuses to this...)
I seriously recommend that you convince her to out her hand on the tank - has save me a few potentially uncomfortable moments. |

For the record I fixed the matter of the Z750 pillion seat being a bit underpadded by springing for a Bagster Seatster

Its a shame there aint an after market grab rail for your bike, this would have helped. One hand on the rail and one around you.
Next time you go out get her to try gripping the bike with the inside of her knees/legs - horse riding style. She'll probably find this difficult the first time, but this will ultimately make her more stable on the back of the bike with practice. Also, as Pete has said, rein in your riding when Mrs is on the back, try to be smoother, less hard braking etc. At the end of the day, just practice, the more shes pillion, the easier it will get, just get her to use her knees! A good pillion wont need to hold onto the rider ![]() |

I really can't see anyone riding pillion for great distances on the Daytona or any recent sportbike for that matter. I'm amazed they're legal. There is absolutely noting to hang on to and the feet are so high up and cramped your circulation stops after 50miles perched up there plus you get most of the wind blast. I'm amazed the wife likes riding pillion on my SV, I wouldn't and the SV is one of the comfiest IMO for pillions. My brother has a Kwak Z750 and although basically a road bike there's only a leather strap around the back seat to hang on to. Why are the manufacturers making bikes with two seats when the rear is near imposible to use?

Infact she has even said before that it is much more comfortable than the sv because she is higher up and in a better position.

Riding two up is like riding in the rain.
You have to be ride smoother, look and plan further ahead and use lower gears for greater engine braking. Of course setting the suspension up is essential for anything longer than a trip around the block IMO. |
