Default Derestricting my K3 Pointy?

Couldn't find anything on derestriciting a FI bike on the search.
I am not very mechanically minded btw
Bought a replacement ECU, off a very nice chap
So I need to bung my old FI international kit out.
Got the tank up, the top lid of the air box off, and the air filter.

Can see the two washers which restrict the airflow, but they dont just pull out. Theres two screws, where the airbox joins onto the engine, i have loosened one, but had to stop for food then.

Do i just loosen both and pull the airbox out, then pull the washers out from the bottom, or is there a better way to do this?

Where the throttle restriction is, i have found one, on the left hand life, does that restrict the fuel for both cylinders, or do i need to find another one?

Pictures can be arranged if need be.
Many Thanks, Sorry for the Essay
David.

There shouldn't be washer to restrict a K3 - the ECU does it all. You aren't looking at the butterflies are you?

I have a FI INTERNATIONAL kit on my pointy.
Bought a ECU to replace it, as it was running like sh!t.

It was cheaper than a new ECU when i bought my bike from my dealers, so obviously i went for the cheaper option.

I didn't know they even made washers for the pointy!

With washers AND an ECU you must have been making about 10bhp

Hi David,

Yep, remove the airbox from the throttle bodies and the washers will just pull out. Make sure you get a good clean seal when putting the air box back on.

Regarding the throttle stop, I believe there is only one but I'm not 100% on this. Should be a T-shaped piece, I think.

I'll be interested to hear what you think of changing over from the FI kit to the ECU. I'm thinking of doing the same as soon as I can source a 33bhp ECU from someone.

John.

In the first 4 lines of my post :P

Why the hell would i put a restrcited ECU in when i have the FI international restriction in too? haha

I have a full power ecu, and a FI international restriction.
I want to take the FI kit out, and replace the full power ecu, with a 33bhp one.

My bad - thought you were derestricting and had bought a full power ECU.

Aye i thought there was only one throttle stop, its a silver piece, which doesnt look like suzuki parts, easily found.

Just take the clips off, and lift the remainder of the airbox off?
I was contemplating taking the rubber seals off from the top, but decided there must be a better way to do this.

Thanks for the advice, will post or PM you about how it runs after.
Away to do a little service anyways, so itl be hard to tell.

David.
