A little pricey at the moment as the SV sizes seem a little more difficult to get hold of but £280 for a front/rear set. I got them from 'roundandblack' on ebay.

I've used this seller before and had good service from them.

Jees they are pricey, think I'll stick to the D209gp's for this year £203 fitted and balanced.

Hey Flymo,

How many race weekends did you get out of them?

Cheers
Luke

Hi Luke,

So far I've run them for two race weekends and two track days with no apparent loss in performance. I know some guys change tyres much more frequently but a) I cant afford to and b) I race in fairly short (less than 10 mile) sprint races and they seem to be lasting up pretty well.

I think most people change race tyres more often for psycological benefit rather than technical. These are not race tyres designed to fall apart 2 laps from the finish line after all, they are road tyres with an exceptional level of grip.

I just bought some part worns that the guy claimed to have used for 1 race. I'm not sure if that's one race or one race weekend but either way, they were about half price a new pair! Just wondering whether it s a false economy buying part worns in the sense that you save half the money but they last half the time.

But from what you say, thet should be good for a bit more than 2 race weekends.

Cheers
Luke

Yeah, I would say you'll get some miles out of them. All depends on the condition of them when you get them. Mine are fine when I remove them but I've seen other riders destroy a set in 10 miles because of poorly adjusted suspension.

He is either not the quickest or has a setup that is easy on tyres! Turns out he used them for 1 warm-up and 1 race. Selling another set on nz ebay at the moment - 1 warm-up and one race of wear again!

Must be minted if he changes after that little wear/distance.
