They don't see me in a liveried car or on my job bike, so just give them a wide berth and carry on with your life.

(there now, I've done the PC thing)

Feckin idiots do my chuffing head in! Theres always an excuse too.

"I wasn't on the phone, I just had a really itchy ear and decided to scratch it with my phone" true.

Plus, it's always the first and only time they've ever done it!

Amazing how I manage to find some many virgins eh?

Male chickens the lot of 'em.

Could ya not give them an award for comedy, perhaps in the form of a full on look over the vehicle or looking up their history to waste their time. I wouldn't dare take the pish if I knew my licence could be on the receiving end of a bit pointy stick (even 3 of them)

I have to say, from my own experience, the worst offenders for using mobile phones are young female drivers. I constantly see them with their eyes in their laps, presumably texting whilst driving.

I recommend taking your girlfriends phone off her next time she's using it whilst driving, and throw it out the passenger window. Maybe say something memorable as well like "and now THIS is happening" (Anchorman-esque). If she breaks up with you she clearly isn't the one.

Also children in a car with a single adult. In some cases a very dangerous combination. I often see parents driving whilst turned to the rear seat supervising children.
Phones are only one of many distractions.

I can't stand it. I wish to goodness there was a universal single hand gesture to make it obvious you're rebuking them for being on the phone, at the moment I can only wittle it down to two while on the bike which involves this:

Closely followed by this

I tell you what REALLY riles me though. Folk who claim they are avid bikers and yet STILL mess about with their phones while cage driving, now that really fecks me off, hypocrites

Nah: that's from the marriage service!
Someone on here had the right idea: took the phone & lobbed it on to a garage forecourt canopy.
Apparently it rang for days.

Its on a Youtube vid if I remember right.

Some need to invent a gun that shots an electromagnetic pulse that disables the phone.

I know that you can make phone jammers, but I've no idea how & its illegal I think?

Is that like one of those snazzy watches you got in the early 90s that could change TV channels?
My mate had one of those, used to annoy all the goths in the local meeting place. Whenever 'This Corrosion' came on the video jukebox he used to change it

For 'electromagnetic pulse' read 'bolt of lightning', & when they move phone to other ear ( cos they is deaf ) zap them again.
If jammers were illegal, they wont complain:
" Dear officer, I was illegally using my mobile while driving & someone zapped it "
