Arrow My First PCN - & Appeal

Righto,

The first PCN in my life. Motorcycle. Permit Holder Parking only (not residential or blue badge, I’m guess office permits).

Points to note:
I’ve only been riding in my council for less than a month now.
Parking is almost always free in Worcester.

Details of event:
As you can see in the picture, this PCN was issued to be as I was alleged to have been parked in a Permit Holder Parking. Now, being the goof that I am, didn’t see the sign and didn’t see it written on the road either. This was the first time in Worcester (I mention it as it could be helpful) that I was actually parking somewhere out of a store parking or outside the house.

I’ve taken pictures, read through all the grounds for an appeal. Also, I was told that, in the MSE forum, to quote, “the bays have been altered from a 1028 / 1032 to a 1033 diagonal bay and they haven’t marked the dy up to the bay as they should have done, hence, technically speaking there then the appeal would be “contravention did not occur”.”

I’ve also enclosed a few pictures and from Street View so everyone can see better. Post Code is WR1 2LR.

Apologies about the scarring, all my browsers give me the same issue!

If you refer to the pictures, I was not parked within the bay or on the double yellow line. Doesn’t that technicality count for something? So I wasn’t parking where permit holders were parking, technically.
I have a witness and pictures to prove the same. I returned to my bike (it was a job interview) an hour after the ticket was issued. No warden in sight.
Would like to quote the Highway Code that says under article 241:
You MUST NOT park in parking spaces reserved for specific users, such as Blue Badge holders, residents or motorcycles, unless entitled to do so. &
242: You MUST NOT leave your vehicle or trailer in a dangerous position or where it causes any unnecessary obstruction of the road

Can I use this? I think I tick both these boxes.
I’ve readied the template letters and will first send the informal appeal followed by the formal ones after feedback from you guys. What can I do at this point? Please advise!

Now I can read the ticket (Thanks YC) Can't see the location pictures still!!

Appeal it on the based that you have not contravened that parking restriction. What you have done is parked on a yellow line and not in a residents bay. You have been ticketed for the wrong offence (the offence on the ticket has not taken place) and thats the end of it!!

Like I said I cant see the pictures so I reserve the right to change my mind when I can see them in a usable size (there tiny on my screen).

IS your VRM right on the ticket or edited for internet land?

By the power of google maps I have looked at the location and stand by my thoughts

Your good you are YC!!!

Learn something each day cheers mate.

Failing that you have parked in no mans land. Neither in a marked bay or on the yellow line. No contravtion took place.

Council need to extend the yellow line.

Press Ctrl and -/+ to zoom in/out. Clickable smaller pictures here as well. No man's land, eh CH00? Cheers mate! Will post back the appeal letter. FYI, everything has been edited out.
And YC, thanks for the super info! I did learn something new today! Cheers mate!

I'm not expert but based on the images and what you say.

I'd fight it as your clearly in the right your bike's parked fairly, your not on the double yellow and your not obstructing anything apart from maybe the passenger door of the fiat but that not the councils problem.
