I like the aircooled 900s, especially the Superlights. They do look stunning in yellow, one of the very few bikes that do (RD400s being about the only other)

Put on a second hand set of carbs engine now running smooth so the problem must lie in the right hand carb but god knows what
carbs also came fitted with a stage 2 dyno jet kit so i take it it will be slightly rich
After idleing for about 10 mins in the garage both down pipes are glowing red but i think once its out on the road it should be ok

The guy you bought it from didn't happen to be an American called Dan did he ?
Reason i ask is He bought an N Reg 900 for his missus from Selby near me when he came to pick up the ZX9R i sold him, Was strapped in back of Van. He'd moved to Scotland (Edinburgh i think) from US and was buying new bikes for over here. Might not be

Nice Glad to hear you got it running good, If the down pipes get red hot quick they are usually running lean.. but if it's taking ten mins at idle, it sounds about right.

You canny beat the bag o spanners sound, looking for an open clutch cover for mine to let more spanners out

Had it out for a spin today it will probably just be a pile of rust in the morning
who would of thought it would be a good wheelie machine
it certainly has plenty of midrange nearly binned it twice with to much throttle come out of roundabouts its very easy to get the back wheel to spin
