3 years riding experience claim free before that though, don't know if that helps, and i had a full licence restricted 33bhp.

Hi there

COULD SOME ONE TELL ME WHERE TO GO (IN LONDON) TO GET MY SV650 SK4 (ECU REST.) DE-RESTRICTED? I WENT TO GARAGE LAST WEEK, PAID 60 QUID FOR NOTHING, AT THE END I'VE BEEN TOLD THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO TAKE IT OFF......

IS IT REALY SO DIFFICULT?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET IT DONE?

THANKS......

WHY DID YOU PAY £60 FOR NOTHING???

In answer to your question, it should cost £30 (+ postage)

Hi all,

I'm about to buy my first bike and its going to be an 07 sv650s! I'm getting it private and after a bit of reading have decided it will be easiest to restrict it by ECU rather than other methods, for ease of installation when i pick it up etc. (Will then go about getting the paperwork elsewhere).

Just wondered if anybody has an old one they would be willing to sell me? - eBay has nothing atm and i found a new one for ~£300, but thats seems a little pricey for a tiny black box of tricks...

Have you got the full power ECU as well?
If you do it's simply a case of swapping them over. If not then you need to get hold of one.
Come to frith street tonight. I'm sure someone will do it for you. I would, but unfortunately I won't be there tonight.

Ah silly me! I just saw it on the recent posts and assumed that was it. Didn't realise it'd been resurrected today.

Hi mate, just so this doesn't remain unanswered.
Firstly welcome & great choice of bike and all that
You'd be best to start a new thread in the Stuff wanted section, assuming you've already searched the SV stuff for sale section. Also start a new thread in idle Banter to introduce yourself, come on we won't bite (so long as you spell check it, don't use text speak and get your English teacher to check it for grammar) joke

Haha ok cheers Stu.

Ah no it didn't occur to me to look in the 'for sale' section, I blame google for being so danm efficient at directing me to this thread.

Picked my bike up today and loving it so much already! Although I can't ride it properly untill i get this danm restrictor sorted out.

I'll go and say hi in idle banter - will probably be needing these forums a fair bit...

Cheers again.
