Dangerous mountain road, poor weather/road conditions, already 250 (nearly) non stop miles though the mountains, bike running intermittently on one cyl. ...
Who could have seen a crash coming????

My worse one to date...shattered collarbone, broken ribs, messed up knee.
But all better now and riding again!!! (winter weather permitting)

There's an old saying...

"There's only 2 kinds of bikers....
Those who have crashed and those who've yet to crash."

Doesn't mean you're going to be hurt but certainly just riding a motorcycle is taking that risk.
There is a bit of danger involved!!!

To some that's an acceptable risk..to others it's not.
That's why riding is not for everyone.

Yep Banannaman , i look at it as an aceptable risk so i'm going for it (but not without gear).
I've heard about you incident in another thread and I'm glad you came out of it and back on your horse ...I do have a question for you , i read this term a lot, High-siding ...what is it ? Why did you do it ? What can you do to avoid it ?
