I dont really care. I would like a pointy for the FI engine - no-fuss starting in the winter time. But i prefer the look of the curvy, especialy the dash. I love analogue dials, feels right Tank is more supportive on the pointy. Carbs on the curvy mean better throttle response (apparently). POssibly better MPG? I dunno, i doubt there is alot in it.

Both sound great through a race can.

Got it, thanks guys.

Hey, I like this forum. Most would have chased me away for such a question. Bring on the mayhem!

Cheers

I would assume that is caused by the secondary butterflies taking the edge of the response... by design maybe. Mixture control may not be what they could be. Dunno... I see a lot of work done in the various DL forums in this area and is one for me to do a little more research on. If it comes to it, I have a couple of Microsquirt controllers (from another project) lying around that could be useful.
Anyway, wrong thread.

Cheers

Matt

Yes the STV is there to soften the response. With EFi there's possibility for a very responsive throttle, like flatside carbs without the problems of bogging if you whack it open... but they don't.

Pointies are the better of the two, both in performance and especially looks.

Define performance?

The curvy frame is far superior, the only reason for the pointy frame is to make it cheaper.

I beleive carbs offer a smoother response.

Depends how well balanced / synched everything is
