I've never had a problem with bolts on the SV.....apart from those hamfisted types that tighten them so much, that I can't undo them again

never had a problem with bolt's on either of my sv's nothing compared to my old kwak they were like cheese look at them and they'd melt before your very eyes.

sv bolts suck! especially the carb bolts! they are useless! ive got a set of carbs from a 88 gsxr 1100 and all the screws come out perfectly! not a problem!
its just one of the ways suzuki limit the cost of the bike. Stainless screws? no no no far to expencive! only way to avoid it is to replace the majority of them. but good tools to help. Although the old saying "a good worksman never blames his tools" does come into account sometimes. |

Anywhere really, they're mostly metric coarse stock sizes but there are some fine pitch ones. Try local engineers suppliers.

Yeah but necessary for disc bolts and the like and other critical areas.
