My exhaust blows has been for a while but its ignored and it passes MOT. Its got old goo stuff on it now, so needs resealing. Its ok for a while at least.

If you do get it anywhere else other than the join, leave it to dry and then attack it carefully with wet and dry. It will come off

If the end can is a bit loose on the headers, use a piece of an aluminium can as a shim, then clamp it up.

Better than that exhaust gum carp

well the stuffs on now. do i leave it a while or run the engine now(no thrashing). think this stuff sets harder the hotter it gets dosen't it?

I've not tried it but I know a few who have, get some builders silicone sealant and spread some of that over the joints and then it'll seal it up nicely. Plus its easy to remove again and it doesnt make a mess like the exhaust paste does that you've bought.
I have always used cheap as chips B&Q clear silicone sealent - job jobbed.

all done now but whilst doing it i noticed the clamps are abit corroded and past there best so when i get round to replacing them i may use sealant. that was a pain using that gum. i could really do with replacing the other exhaust clamp!!! yuck

That's what mine looked like, I just ordered a couple of stainless ones off ebay. I think one is 50mm and the other is 60mm.
