Yep, the rev counter is where my sat nav goes, but some sat navs are too big. It's never fallen off (2 years I've had it) but I teather it to a clip on my ignition key just in case.

As for the power socket, i tried it there with zip ties but it didn't stay in place for long, so mine just has the elecrtic coil cable wrapped round the clutch cable and it hangs down pointing towards the front mudguard. You have to find some way of ensuring it hangs well forward of the front forks so it can't trap between frame and forks and cause loss of steering.

You boys should all buy a Versys, cos Kawasaki make a dedicated Satnav mount that goes behind the screen, and the inner fairing panel is ideal for mounting a 12V accessory socket into.
