Can you not get uprated kit?
One popular mod on the Blackbird is a bigger gen that sends more power back for those that have plugs and sockets and sat navs and all kinds of electricery plugged in for touring.

Mine seems to cope fine, but they are generally only on for about 6-7 minutes at a time.
